Episode 41: The Murder of Laura Babcock

She went missing. Law enforcement didn’t take it seriously; and in the end, Toronto had 3 murders.

Laura Babcock was a 23-year-old aspiring actress and had recently graduated from the University of Toronto. It was early summer of 2012 and friends described Laura as “going through some things” as she moved out of her parent's home and tried to find her way in life. The bubbly, fun woman that her friends and family knew was starting to act differently; so when she stopped communicating in early July that year, police didn’t take her disappearance seriously. It wasn’t until the murder of Tim Bosma and the arrests of Dellen Millard and Mark Smich that police began looking into Laura’s case.
