Episode 35: The Murder of Colleen Slemmer
Colleen Slemmer was a trusting, kind 19-year-old when she was lured to a park one night in January 1995. After an hour of torture, she was dead; left half-naked in a pile of debris. The motive behind the killing would reveal itself as one of the darkest and most disturbing that investigators in Knoxville, TN had ever seen.
Dawn sits down with Colleen’s mother, May Martinez as well as Lead Investigator for the Knoxville Police Department, Randy York.
Dr. Shira Schaktman provides insight into the psychological diagnosis of one of Colleen’s killers, Christa Pike. Pike was the youngest woman in the United States to be sentenced to death.
